Ute Mountain Ute Tribe Vocational Rehabilitation Program

The mission of the is to enhance the lives of American Indians with disabilities through successful employment outcomes. To extend the services of Vocational Rehabilitation to the members of the Ute Mountain Ute Tribe with a disability that has impacted their employment potential.

The purpose of the program is to provide individuals with disabilities the tools necessary to participate as full partners in the vocational rehabilitation process by making meaningful and informed choices, obtain gainful employment which is consistent with the strengths, resources, priorities, concerns, abilities, capabilities, interests, and informed choices of the individual.

The services provided by this program are obtained by the Ute Mountain Ute Tribe from a Federal Grant through the Department of Education and monitored by the Rehabilitation Services Administration (RSA) and are subject to the requirements and regulations of that agency. The purpose of this grant is to enhance the employment opportunities for Tribal members with disabilities, living on or near the reservation.

You may be eligible for services if your goal is to become employed
Your physical and/ or mental disability interferes with your ability to become or remain employed you may need assistance to attain or maintain a job
If you receive Social Security Disability Insurance SSDI/SSI for your disability, you are presumed eligible for services, if you plan to become employed.
